I added the temperature along the side of the blog, so you can follow along at home. Since Rocky and I have been in Florida - it has been hot - unseasonably hot. When we have visited folks, they think we are crazy when we complain about the heat and ask about turning down the A/C. It is December, right?
I haven't found a blog link that displays humidity yet - but that is one of the joys of Florida that I would not want you to miss out on.

Best Buy in Orlando
Today Rocky and I went to Best Buy so I can get a cell phone for Florida. While there - the entire Michigan State football team came in. The Best Buy employee that was helping us said that every employee that works there was in because of the football team. Apparently, the whole team received gift cards so they swarmed the iPod area and they were picking up all of the XBox and Playstation games. The team is in town for the "Capital One Champs" bowl game.

Imperial Palace, Biloxi
We got to Imperial Palace (now called IP) last night around 9:30 pm. The drive was easy but long, considering that Rocky and I stayed awake all night before we left. I had a coupon for IP for a free night's stay. Since the reservation accidently listed us in a smoking room - they upgraded us to a Penthouse room! We had a room on one of the floors that required special access on the elevator. Not bad for a free room!
Biloxi still has signs of damage from the Hurricane Katrina. State parks along I-10 are still closed, and so is the Jefferson Davis home, Beauvoir (http://www.beauvoir.org/).

First blog issue
Okay - what time zone do I use? I decided to go with Eastern time zone for Florida, although most of you will be in Central time zone.
Eastern time zone RULES!

Less than 12 hours
In less than 12 hours, I will be leaving for Florida. Rocky and I will visit family and then I will stay there for my job at D. (Abbreviations used because I think the company has some rules against blogs.... will find out more once I start.)
